This may not be stoner band you expected, but as a psychedelic rock enthusiast you’ll find more than interesting and impressive this six piece of an album entitled “Germinal” by Potsdam, Germany based group called Minerva. Their music is a fusion of progressive rock and art rock, very smooth and jazzy, splendid psychedelic influences that can carry you away in any time of the day.
Although they don’t focus their energies too much in the vocal section, they do however show a great capacity in experimenting and song writing…these guys know how to play their instruments.
I can see Minerva reaching the ranks of some of their local legends, from which they obviously drew some influences, such as Samsara Blues Experiment or Color Haze.
“Germinal” is a diamond in the dirt, one that should reach the ears of some record labels officials from the scene, while Minerva should continue to pursue this musical path and do their best to reach higher levels, sooner or later I’m sure someone will spot them.
